Early days, Alex select for Under-17 state-level cricket competition in March 2000, and she took 3 wickets in that match and won against Victoria blue and her highest score in that series was 57 runs(Not out) against Western Australia also, New South Wales won that series with all match while Blackwell total runs was 149 and took seven wickets.

Domestic Career Performance

In 2001, Ale Blackwell made debut for New South Wales against Queensland, also Blackwell play well all the match in that series and she was doing great efforts in bowling and batting and score 207 in six matches with 41.40 average and took 11 wickets.

Added to that in end of the season, Blackwell selected for the national youth team against New Zealand and scored 76 and one wicket in a series while against senior New Zealand team took one wicket and score only 2.
In 2003-03 Alex Blackwell played the whole season in WNCL tournament and Blackwell score her first half-century in the second match and score 74 and that match NSW won with 5 wickets against Victoria and new south wales reach in final but they lost while Alex scored total 212 runs in the series.

International Career Performance

Alex Blackwell first international match in New Zealand and member of a national team, England and India also competing in the series, Blackwell made her debut against England in the second match but she can’t perform well, while her next match against India she scores 27 and took 2 wickets. in a final match, she scored 21 but after that, she can’t perform well with the ball and take only 2 wickets in a long seven-year period. Alex Blackwell is 97th woman to play for the national team.

In world cup 2005 in South Africa, she played against New Zealand and score well 53 and that match won by Australia by 32 runs after that against west indies, she out for a zero(Run out).in the semi-final, she scored 10 not out and easy win over England with five-wicket and won final against India. overall she scores 67 in a tournament with 33.50 average.

After that, she played 2009 world cup and world T-20. in the world cup, she scores  190 runs while in t20 world cup she scored total 62 runs with 32 average. in 2017 – 18 Blackwell was in the Australian team and she scores well 67 and Aus. struggle in that match but she played fine and Australia won that match in final over after that she played 250th international match for national woman team of Australia.
